Guided by heritage, inclusion, and discovery, we carry forward the values that unite us and shape the UAE’s shared future.
President of the United Arab Emirates
and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi
"I am pleased to announce 2025 as the Year of Community in the UAE. Hand in hand, we will work to strengthen social bonds, foster shared responsibility and unlock potential for inclusive and sustainable growth. To all those who call UAE home, I encourage you to think ambitiously and act boldly in contributing towards improving your community and ensuring that our nation remains an inspiring model of progress and prosperity"
Mubadala, in collaboration with NYU Abu Dhabi, helped establish the Mubadala Arabian Center for Climate and Environmental Sciences (Mubadala ACCESS) to deepen scientific understanding of the region’s environment and offer insights that benefit everyone. From the coastal waters and coral reefs of the Arabian Gulf, to urban systems, and the regional atmosphere, each environment offers important clues about how climate change is shaping our future.
ACCESS brings together leading scientists to build observational and modeling capacity, generate new data where gaps exist, and inform climate policy rooted in regional realities. This initiative reflects our commitment to sustainability and community, turning science into action, safeguarding ecosystems and societies, and ensuring that future generations inherit not just knowledge, but a healthier, more resilient world.
The story of our nation’s progress began long before oil or technology. It was forged in the courage of pearl divers at sea, the perseverance of farmers in the desert, and the unity of communities safeguarding their traditions
Al Mawroth Program, part of the Masary Program, was launched in 2023 by Mubadala in partnership with Emirates Foundation, carrying this legacy forward by teaching the values, principles, customs, and traditions of Emirati society. Through heritage sessions, site visits, and conversations with elders, our youth explore the stories of their ancestors across sea, desert, and farming communities. By nurturing cultural awareness and belonging, the program ensures these values remain a source of strength for our communities and a guide for future progress.
Football has always been more than a game; it is a bridge that unites generations and communities. In partnership with the UAE Pro League and Ma’an, Mubadala launched the Inclusive Football Initiative, which has already engaged 237 senior citizens, 510 People of Determination, and 55 retired players, while 521 children and families joined our festival.
On this pitch, wisdom meets ambition and resilience meets passion, proving that sport is at its most powerful when it includes everyone. With each pass and each goal, barriers are broken, stereotypes are challenged, and the joy of belonging is celebrated. This initiative reflects Mubadala’s commitment to community well-being, showing how playing together strengthens both our bonds and the fabric of our nation.
